Binomial Distribution

At the moment I am working on Binomial Distribution. I have used the calculator to work through the problems on the probability that it is exactly, up to or more than. I have also used the mean and standard deviation formula. However, I cannot understand how to work out using the formula backwards to work out some of the original factors. I need some help on this process, as the video on Jake4Maths does not help me at the moment.

I have now watched more videos and understand how to do this. I shall now continue through with some problems.

Now I have finished these problems as well as learnt the acronym FIST to use for justifying the use of binomial distribution. F=Fixed number of trials(limited trials occur), I=Independent(each event is independent of the other), S=Same(the probability of an event happening is the same), T=Two possibilities(the event either happens or not). I have also learnt that these justifications must be written out using the context of the problem.
Finally I completed the end of the binomial distribution and am now moving on to Poisson Distribution.

I've sent you an email with loads of video links on not only working backswards in the formula but also more informative videos for all the distributions. I suggest you take your time and work through each of these videos, and start with the easier introductory videos and then move on to the more advanced ones. I also suggest that you use trial and error to do the backwards using the formula methods, as it is easier and can be used with most of the problems. I will also talk you through these, after you've finished watching your videos. GOOD luck. Whaea Mina
